An Himalayan peak from the view of my McLeod Ganj restaurant. I was just amazed the first time that I saw it. And frankly, all I could think was "Why the HELL would someone want to climb that?" Don't give me any of that "because it was there" crap. What would compel someone to decide to risk their lives just to get to the top of a mountain? And this isn't even one of the Himalaya's tallest peaks! As much as I love setting goals for myself, I know right now that I will never, ever, climb Mount Everest.
