I've always thought that if you had something embarrassing to say, you should preface it by mentioning something even more embarrassing, thereby deflecting (or possibly dispersing) the mocking that you'll undoubtedly receive.

So I figure that if I tell you guys that I spent the last half hour watching Backstreet Boys and NSync music videos on youtube, you won't even notice it when I mention that I'm going to the Star Trek symphony this Saturday. And that I'm sitting in the fifth row. Centre.
