Last time I was in Paris I stayed in this wonderful old Anglophone bookstore called Shakespeare and Company. It is run by this 91 year old man called George Whitman and he lets travellers stay there for free. I loved it. I have always loved bookstores and being surronded by old books, and here you actually get to sleep with them! (Hmm...that sounds a little off) The only problem was that there was no washroom, only a turkish toilet, which is a hole in the ground that you squat over. But even that room was covered with floor to ceiling books. I loved it.
